Today I'm going to do something different. I'm going to share a fun, tasty and simple recipe to help with your holiday. Since I haven't had a mixer since summer when mine broke, this year I'm only making what doesn't require a mixer! These are soooo tasty and easy the kids can help! In fact, it was my daughter who gave me the recipe!

Ingredients:
1 package regular Oreo cookies
1 package cream cheese, softened
1 package chocolate almond bark.

Directions:

  1. Turn cookies into small crumbles any way you wish.
  2. Mix cream cheese into cookie crumbs thoroughly.
  3. Can chill to work with or just use two spoons to shape into bite size pieces (or balls if chilled).
  4. Place close together on cooling rack on top of cookie sheet. I fit an entire batch on one rack.
  5. Melt almond bark in microwave by package directions.
  6. Spoon over cookies to coat.
  7. When it stops dripping, remove rack from cookie sheet or it will harden together.
  8. Let cookies set.
  9. Cut cookies apart with knife and loosen from rack.
  10. Put in container with plastic wrap or wax paper between layers.
  11. Seal and keep in frig.
Variations:
Mold dough around maraschino cherries, then coat.
Mix some peppermint extract into the dough.

Enjoy and don't let yourself get so busy that you neglect your Bible study time, worship, prayer and your quiet times with God. After all, though He wasn't actually born this time of year, celebrating His birth is the reason you are so busy, so don't leave Him out or end up spiritually farther away from Him after the holiday because of your worldly celebrations and activities. Priorities! Merry Christmas!
