There was a blind girl. She was blessed to be loved by a man so much that he wanted to marry her, but she refused saying she wouldn't marry him unless she could see his face. A donor was found and she had surgery to give her sight. The man waited eagerly. When she was able to see, she looked at him and saw his eyes were closed and hollow and she refused to marry him. But you promised that you'd marry me when you could see my face. Yes, but I couldn't bear to spend my life looking at you with your closed, hollow eyes. As his nurse turned his wheelchair to leave, he asked her to take good care of his eyes.

I gasped when I heard that. How horrible! How unthinkable! What a shallow, ungrateful girl she was. Then I thought of my Lord, how He gave not only His eyes, but His very life all to give us what we need most, payment for our sins and a way back to God. Still, we by the millions reject Him every single minute of every hour, every day. If your heart was touched by the sacrifice the man made for the blind girl, please take a moment and ask God to show you what He has done for you. Are you gratefully accepting His gift and following Him with your whole heart? Or are you the blind girl...

The first book I ever published was Surrounded By God's Glory. It was a 101 page book combining five years of photographs I had taken of our yard and ponds (my husband and I did every bit of it ourselves and bathed it in prayer that God would be glorified) and things God has taught me in that very special and intimate way.

I saw the new advertisement on CraftCrave for software that will automatically make shaped collages for you and tried it. They have a generous trial download. I made this collage with images from my book starting with the results from their software and then working a few more hours to tweak the results to just what I wanted. If you purchase the software you can save as a psd and easily make changes and save the hours I spent. You can also purchase a commercial use license from them.

I have used a bow from my Ribbon Wraps Kit which you can find here, to hang my collage by.

Today I was taking a gift in my car. I glanced at it on my way and saw the tag I'd bought for it, clear with black writing. Later, when I was carrying it into the restaurant, I saw that it was actually silver on clear. I moved it about and saw that though it truly was shiny silver, at certain angles it looked pitch black.

That's what God is talking about in the Bible when He warns us not to let our good be evil spoken of - to be above reproach. We may truly be shiny silver, but when we go to certain places, dress or behave in certain ways, we look black just like those of the world. We are to keep ourselves unstained by the world that our testimony not be compromised and we be useful in service to the King who has saved us. When you are tempted to go to one of these places, dress or behave in certain ways, remember that you are no longer your own, but have been bought with a price, the very life blood of the only begotten Son of God. We no longer live to fulfill the lusts of the flesh, but are ambassadors for Christ to a world desperately in need of Him.

I bought this wanted poster at a store, then got the picture of Jesus from Effie's blog and changed it a lot, making it into an 8x10 that I had printed then attached to the poster and hung on my classroom door at church. I have photographed it, then fixed up the photo and extracted it. It's almost 12" at 300 dpi. Hope you can find a use for it.
