Diary of a Failed Children's Craft Part 4 & a freebie

Yesterday I shared my third attempt at Shrinky Dinks, but I did more last night. To read all about it and the bunny's rescue operation go here. This is an overview of the project. Click the image to read. Now for the star. It looked horrid too. I covered it with clear nail polish and then poured seed beads over it and gently pressed them into the polish. After it dried I put enough polish over the top to seal them and then poured more beads over them. I wanted it to be thick and dimensional, and it is! When it was all dried I drenched the bead surface with nail polish again and this morning everything is dry, secure and so much prettier. I chose these particular beads because their colors went well with the colors on the bunny (because I was limited to Sharpie marker colors). This morning when the bead side was cured, I covered the back of the star with glitter and will seal it with more nail polish. Two sided!
